The Scheme
The whole
concept of the scheme is;
It is
obvious in Zambia that many thoughtless financial handouts
are only fueling existing problems. The real investment lies
in unlocking the resources already found in these young
people. Leadership courses can help them help themselves,
providing meaningful opportunities for personal growth. When
individuals change then Zambia can change. Financial support
of these courses is a positive investment into the lives of
young Zambians and so into the future of Zambia.
1)We hope
that organisations and companies would be interested in
sponsoring a group of around 20 less privileged or Zambian
youth who would otherwise be unable to afford such a course.
The learning gained by such an experience we hope would
prove to be invaluable and life changing to the young
people. A course would focus in on leadership training,
problem solving and confidence building. These sort of
opportunities are very limited for these Zambian young
people.
We have
many links with such groups who would like to attend courses
or the sponsors can chose a group they would like to
support.
2) We would
like to promote links with schools overseas and local
schools within Zambia. This mutual relationship would have
benefits for both groups and could lead to visits, projects
and sponsorship.
