Ndubaluba runs exciting expeditions all year
round to many varied and exciting destinations. Read on below to find out more about what we offer...

There are lots of expeditions that we can arrange for you. Unfortunately, these are restricted to Secondary and above age groups with the exception of Mwendefye Hills.

Local expeditions include the following:

  • A trek up Mount Mumpu (6400 ft). 
    This entails a camp and hike in the North Swaka Forest Reserve with spectacular ascent through a huge bat infested cave!
  • Kundalila Falls.
    This is a wonderful place for hiking, rock climbing, camping and abseiling.
  • Mount Sancha
    A remote hike and a climb up a massive exfoliation dome, with an incredible view from the summit!
  • Mwendefye Hills (for Primary groups)
    An easier hike in the local hills, again with spectacular views from the top.
  • Assorted Canoeing
    Canoeing trips on the Lunsemfwa and other local rivers.

Expeditions further afield can be also be arranged. These include:

  • Kapyshia Hot Springs
    Hiking, rafting and relaxation at this famous location written about in the book 'The Africa House'.
  • Lake Kashiba
    This is a 'sunken' lake, bordered by tall limestone cliffs. Enjoy "Kloofing" (rock-jumping), canoeing and fishing.
  • Luapula Province
    Amazing waterfalls, rivers and people, with similar activities to Lake Kashiba but including the magnificent Lumangwa Falls - often referred to as the mini Victoria Falls!
  • Lake Tanganyika
    canoe expedition/exploration along the shore of this beautiful and wild lake.
